Grants
Ayr Community Theatre is extremely grateful for the associations through which we have been able to obtain grants, all of which have helped us further our theatre and reach our dreams.
Community Grants
Township of
North Dumfries Grant
Ayr Community Theatre would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Township of North Dumfries for their commitment to fostering the arts and their belief in the value of our work. The Township has granted ACT $11,500.00 which will be applied toward the cost of our rent. This grant will be a large, significant factor in the success of our 2024 production! Thank you again to the Township of North Dumfries for their invaluable support.
Madelyn Ann Dalrymple Memorial
Fund
Proud recipients of the Madelyn Ann Dalrymple Memorial Fund received through the Waterloo Region Community Foundation On November 15, 2022 Ayr Community Theatre received a grant in the amount $1,000 to assist our organization in the important work we are doing in the community.
We are proud to announce that we have now received this grant for the second year in a row.
Cultural Drivers of Tourism
We are pleased to announce that we have received a grant in the amount of $550.00 from the Cultural Drivers of Tourism Grant as part of their pilot program. This generous grant supported our mission to bring our fall 2023 production of 'Clue The Musical' to the stage. We are immensely grateful for their support! We look forward to sharing the results of this partnership with our community.
Sesquicentennial Fund
The generosity of the Sesquicentennial Fund in the fall of 2023 was so helpful with the costs incurred during 'Clue The Musical'.
Their thoughtfulness has been so graciously accepted.
Waterloo Region Community Foundation
The Waterloo Regional Community Foundation has been extremely generous to Ayr Community Theatre! In 2023, we were awarded two grants in the amount of $5,000 each. Half of the money was granted through three organizations and applied to our costs associated with 'Clue The Musical' (Anonymous Fund $3,200.00 Performing Arts Fund $1,400.00 and Ashley MacIsaac Fund $400.00). The other half (Anonymous Fund $5,000.00) will go towards costs incurred with Brigadoon. It is because of the support of this wonderful organization that we are able to embark on this journey and remain committed to providing exceptional artistic experiences to our community.
